What is the role of Truth and Reconciliation in the reconstruction of Haiti?
We recognize that reconstruction and development efforts in Haiti will not have lasting results without a quantum shift in the way Haiti, the international community, and the Haitian People view and manage their relationship with each other and Haiti itself. The Forgiveness Network is designed as a forum where the Haitian Diaspora, along with our brothers and sisters in Haiti can openly discuss past wrongdoing, and do the work necessary to forgive. Through this network, we aim to create the context inside of which a Truth and Reconciliation Commission for Haiti emerges.
