Hello:

I am Jacky Poteau, president of FATEM (www.fatem.org). I currently work as a database administrator for a non-profit social agency that provides housing to low-income and sick individuals in Boston, MA, and I have a background in Social Work. I hope to be able to connect with Haitians and Haitian-Americans who believe in the need to forgive the acts of the past and move forward for a better Haiti.

My name is Jude Jeanty. I was born and raised in Haiti for a period of eighteen years. I have been teaching in the United States. During my teaching career, I have had the exposure to work with a large group of haitian students at P.S 189. It was a great experience in the ESL department that truly opened my eyes towards Haiti. I have chosen to join in the cause for the simple fact that forgiveness is the principle that God used when I was alienated and confused. With that said, I believe the same words that brought restoration to my deprived and miserable life haven't lessen or dimmed. And as I am venturing in this movement, I want to have the freedom to voice my opinion by raising any topic that can help us see Haiti in all of its aspects. I am not seeking to only gain from our discussions, but I want to share a practical message to you with the hope that someday we might all go back to really change the situation.
